Wii U: More powerful than the PS3?

Posted by David on June 22nd, 2011

I’m reading that Wii U could be up to 50% more powerful than even the PS3, but I’m starting to wonder… What the hell are developers are going to do with all of that extra power, give Samus’s boobs an enchanting wobble?

The real question is, “What is this going to cost me?”. With that in mind, it could cost a lot or very little, depending on how you’re looking at it. New Playstations and Xboxes are slated for 2014, so either I’m plunking down a few hundred bucks in 2012, or I’m waiting another two years. And if I’m waiting another two years, how much more powerful will those machines be? They very well may dispense gold whilst doing my taxes, solving the budget crisis, and ending world hunger.

Either way, unless Nintendo really parades out the magic on this one, I’m going to remain skeptical. Optimistic for a fellatio peripheral perhaps, but skeptical.

Update: Sweet, ball-slapping Jesus Christ… According to Venture Beat, the new system will not be significantly more powerful than PS3 or Xbox 360. You know, as much as everyone is eager to know what the hell this new system’s going to be all about, I’m done. No more speculation until we know more. I’m not saying shit until new, very specific shit comes pouring directly from the horse’s ass… er, mouth?

Seriously, let's play Portal 2.

Big surprise, we solved some puzzles. Bigger surprise? We didn’t spend a good fifteen minutes staring at the walls in hopes of figuring it out. Yup, we really had our genius hats on for this one, right up until our enlarged genius-brain filled heads couldn’t fit through the exit door. Then we took off our genius caps and promptly realized we were still morons.
